Mr Whippy It Ain't

Conditions have been ideal for making snow which is exactly what has been going on for more hours than not over the past few days.

Crackenback and High Noon Supertrails have been a treat each morning. Friday Flat and Merritts are also looking good in their fresh coating of man-made snow.

The crowds are building but even without the Basin, Karels and Central Spur there is ample room to put in some big fast turns without another body in front of you.

For those of you who last weekend experienced the gravel pit at the intersection of High Noon and Sundowner the snow cover is now superb.

The Cat Track, with its own snowmaking, is keeping the mountain open for those wishing to go the opposite way to Sundowner and to return to Crackenback.

The weakest link in the resort is at the top - Eagle Way from the top of the Kosciuszko Express to the top of Snow Gums chair. There is no snowmaking this high in the resort (yet) and without a deep snow base to work with the track is only just holding together and loose stones float on top of the trail.
