Hot And Cold
On Saturday evening the thermometer on my balcony hit a horrific 37C. I will admit that, although totally shaded, my thermometer does get reflected heat and can read higher than reality but it has been very hot by Thredbo standards and the temps up at Eagles Nest have topped 26C. Last night my balcony hit 36C and it was hard to sleep, even harder to work.
Today the hot wind has picked up and is gusting at 50kph and consequently there are no flies in this heat.
Meanwhile a few miles away to the north, Rosco is dealing with the other end of the weather spectrum and has kindly provided a few more photos of a world I would prefer to be in.
Rosco has discovered the advantage of being the photographer - first tracks ;-)

The forecast is for dropping temperatures but we were told that yesterday as well.
When do we get a refund from the Carbon Tax? It's obviously not working!
Something else to get you thinking in this Federal election year: Why aren't Australians asked to provide proof of identity when voting? Watch this space over the coming weeks.
