Last Day of November
Just because the month changes doesn't mean it will stop snowing. Further snowfalls during November hampered outdoor work and recreation.
You probably heard about the rare November snowfall in Tokyo. Is this a sign of things to come?
Just 3 days Peter sent me his first photos from Rusutsu where a solitary high lift has been opened for skiing and boarding.
Not much else to report other than the wonderful yet sad farewell to Ted and Donna having sold Bernti's. A street party coordinated by Central Road and KT under a warm sun was a fitting way for everyone to say "good bye". Thredbo won't be the same without them but they will be back for holidays.
Less than a week ago we had our last significant snowfall
This panorama was taken a little later as the snow began to thaw
And this panorama was taken today - yes there is still snow around
Peter's photo of the snowfall that smothered his wood store before he got it inside
The wasp nests in Rusutsu are of serious proportions
It was a beautiful day for the red carpet arrival to the farewell for Ted and Donna
Jess and Ian provided the entertainment
Whilst some old debts were settled at the very chance ;-)
And farewells and best wishes went all around

L'Etape Australia is on in the Snowy Mountains this weekend and is sure to be causing delays on many roads. The towns along the route have done an amazing job of decorating their street scapes in colours and cycle related objects, none of which I had any opportunity to photograph.
