Springing Along

It has felt like late September / early October this past week. Very warm conditions have kept the snow mostly wet and sloppy. Some mornings have had firm conditions for the first hour but this morning wasn’t one of them - it was 6 Celsius up top at 7am and 2C in the village this morning.

Considering the warm temps and warm winds, the snow pack is holding up reasonably well. By the end of each day the bottom of High Noon and the Supertrail are in a poor state but overnight grooming fixes it up for the next morning.

The forecast has rain tomorrow and then fresh snowfalls over the next 3 days. How the season progresses from here may depend on the ratio of rain to snow.

Nick Willey is rapidly reaching his goal of breaking the World Record for endurance skiing. Go Nick Go!
