Sun Sun Sun

After a big night of snowmaking, a beautiful warm and sunny day greeted the many lawyers in Thredbo for the Lainer Lawyer race.

Not wanting to get involved in anything legal I stayed a long way from the race course. Apparently many other people did as well because the crowds & lift queues were big.

Sunday started with a bank of fog over mid mountain but quickly burnt off to reveal another blue sky day. The snow a little more carvable than Saturday and the light breeze and slightly lower temperatures made for even better skiing and boarding conditions.

Despite no snowmaking on Saturday night (due to the fog humidity, I suspect) extensive grooming made the slopes a treat and allowed those who enjoy an early morning high-speed run to really let loose.

The crowds were down on Sunday which was a bonus as I personally thought the snow was better than on Saturday.

Fine weater is forecast right through to Wednesday. Some new snow would be appreciated but as I write this report I can hear the snow guns pumping out another carpet of fresh soft white stuff.
