White Stuff

I went for a short walk on Wednesday and lo-and-behold there was some snow from last Sunday just above mid-station in the darkest coolest shadows. It was gone today as an intrepid whipper-snipper had gone through the area and prepared a nice base of greenery.

This morning there was a very good frost, as the photo below will attest.

Did you see the purple stuff on my last report?

Surprise, surprise, the pass holders’ lane on the Alpine Way at the park entrance has been open all school holidays. Brilliant. It has saved me a long wait on several occasions. May it remain open (in my dreams).
