A Big End to 2015

I'm back in Thredbo but not sure why. Oh yes, the tomatoes and the lettuce (my garden has expanded :-)

Meanwhile in Japan, Peter reports big snows in Rusutsu. First 20cm on Christmas Day followed by a metre of fresh on Boxing Day and another metre yesterday (27th).

Peter said: "...it was so deep every one was having so much trouble skiing..." and that "...they closed the lifts 2 hours early to get every one off the hill as people where getting trapped in the deep snow on the main trails...".

Don't you just hate it when there's too much snow ;-)

And to top that off, Peter also reports: "Expecting another meter of snow tonight then another meter over the following 2 days".

Thanks to KT for yet another wonderful Christmas Party - a great time to catch up with so many good folk of Thredbo before Christmas, especially when I had to return to Sydney only a few days later.

I hope everyone enjoyed a great Christmas although many a competitor in this year's Sydney to Hobart yacht race would probably now wish they had extended their Christmas festivities. Those of you who remember Sibby from Thredbo Ski Patrol may not be aware that both she and her boat, Dare Devil, took a big hit in the race. I wish all injured competitors a quick recovery.

Speaking of recoveries; a big GET WELL SOON to Toni Sarri.

And although 2015 isn't quite over yet, I'd like to wish you all A Happy New Year. I, for one, could do with it.
