Rolling Right Along

It has been very windy in Thredbo for the past few days and we have received 20mm of rain in the past 24 hours, all culminating last night with thunder and lightning.

This morning the slopes were shrouded in fog/cloud only to burn off and reveal a sunny day.

Meanwhile, in Japan, Peter reports the last storm delivered 1.3m to his front door but now the sun is out and the clean up begins.

The high winds in Thredbo have been producing more sub zero wind chill temps than above zero wind chill temps.

It is less than 2 weeks to the solstice (summer or winter depending upon which hemisphere you are in) and it has been snowing at both ends.

And the 540 line is still indicating snow fall in Tasmania on Friday. All good for Santa to practice sleigh landings on ;-)
