One Last Report for 2015
Here's one last report for 2015. I thought it would be nice to leave this year behind with pleasant thoughts and sights.
And just in time for this report, Peter and Andrea have sent some fresh photos from Rusutsu on Hokkaido that I think provide a lovely contrast to the photos I took yesterday above Thredbo, where the weather has been a delight.
After all that snow in Rusutsu, lifts had to be cleared before riding
Andrea enjoying the deep freshies
Peter clearing the roof. It looks like he has all the gear.
And then still finds time to play after all the hard work
Meanwhile in the Snowy Mountains there are wildflowers out all over the place
Fields of wildflowers looking almost like snow drifts on the high alpine areas
Alpine Daisies reaching for the sky
Not just white alpine daisies but also the rarer mauve daisies blowing in the breeze
Billy Buttons
That shot from the bridge
There is still one tiny patch of snow on Signature Hill but it won't be there for long
But there's still a patch for snow play on Summer Drift
There's lots on in Thredbo over the next few weeks. Apart from tonight's New Year's Eve celebrations, the Kosciuszko Craft Beer Festival is on Jan 9th and the Thredbo Blues Festival is on Jan 17th through 19th, just to mention a few things to get involved in over the holiday period.
Wishing you all a HAPPY, HEALTHY & WEALTHY NEW YEAR!!!
Looking forward to a big night in Thredbo tonight :-)
