Wanderlust Part II
As expected Wanderlust brought a lot of people to Thredbo. I was told by one local that 95% of the Wanderlust attendees had never been to Thredbo before - that's quite a marketing coup.
I must admit I felt somewhat naked wandering around the village without a yoga mat tucked under my arm but hey, the weather was ideal for naked ;-)
The forecast showers didn't happen. There were 42 drops of moisture at the end of last night's big show on the Village Green and there was a fog over the mountain each morning but otherwise there were 4 days of sunshine with a cooling breeze. As close to perfect for an outdoor event as I could imagine.
Wanderlust comes to Thredbo - an exploration of mind and body and more ;-)
BYO - mobile and temporary - the show rolled in for a 4 day stay
Steve recording an interview for The Snowy Times
Xavier Rudd and the United Nations - a big draw card
Stalls sprung up all over the village selling everything from food and clothes to the ever-present yoga mats
Something to do on both sides of the river
Mind altering directions for we mere locals ;-)
The biggest single event was Saturday night on the Village Green
And it drew a large crowd
You didn't need medication to feel like you might be tripping - a close encounter on the Village Green
Don't miss my previous report on the Wanderlust opening report.
As you can see, there's so much more to Thredbo apart from winter sports. With so many new events added to the Thredbo calendar, there's something big on every month.
