Not Want You Want To Hear

There has been a mid-winter warm break over Hokkaido resulting in sloppy snow and rain but the pundits say this is quite normal and that a return to good snow falls should follow.

My reckoning is that Rosco probably got the best of it even though Niseko appears to have had about 3m less snowfall than for the same time in the season as last year.

Snow is forecast tonight for Tasmania above 1000m. Sounds better than Niseko ;-)

Grump: How ripped off are motorists?
A couple of weeks ago I went to Sydney. Premium 98 in Cooma was 134.9 cents per litre. Not bad I thought although Tapis crude has been running at record lows.
I arrived in Sydney (north west) and petrol was 139.9. Go figure. 5 days later it was 113.9 - seemed more reasonable and then less than a week later when I left Sydney it was again 139.9. Cooma was still 134.9.

When will politicians have the guts to stop the rip offs?
