Move On - There's Nothing To See Here

It's been foggy and misty for the past few days. The temperature has been hovering just above zero and there has been light rain on and off. The wind chill has been dropping in and out of double digits - that's negative double digits. All round it's pretty miserable by most points of view.

Contrary to the KT web site, Kosi chair is open again today.

I know you really don't want to hear it but there has been no snow making (too warm and/or humid) and there's nothing much on the way in the form of natural snow.

The BOM got quite excited for a while with snow flake icons showing for most days but the standard indicators* of a snow fall just don't show anything. May be we will get a dusting over the long weekend.

* The basic rules of thumb are that the Adelaide forecast needs to be for rain and a max temp of 15C and the 540 line needs to be up over the resort.

"What's the 540 line?" you ask:
You can view it by going to: http://www.ciau.com.au/snow/DIY2.htm and selecting "Cola wxmaps 540" from the left side bar. If you still want to know more about the "540 line" then read one person's explanation here: http://www.theweatherprediction.com/habyhints/97/.

Nothing to see in this foggy, misty world

As soon as I have something pleasing to the eye I'll post it.
