Your Carbon Tax At Work
Just the thought of the oncoming Carbon Tax has drastically dropped temperatures and caused snowfalls across the Snowy Mountains.
After perfect Easter weather - sunny blue skies with a cool breeze - good ol' Mother Nature turned on the snow for all those who stayed in Thredbo past the Easter long weekend. Up top the temperature has been below zero with the wind-chill going into double digits below zero Celsius.

I must admit I was surprised to actually see the snow settle in the village considering how warm the previous few days had been. There was about 2cm all around first thing this morning but as I write this report the sun is breaking through the clouds and slowly melting away the snow, whilst new flakes fall.
It was pleasing to see that the KT resort cam, looking up the Kosciuszko Walking Track, is back online today for the fresh snow.
Today's Grump: On March 31st 'Earth Hour' was held to highlight the imminent danger that the planet is facing due to 'human caused' global warming. Many big name tourist cities turned out the lights that make their cities look 'pretty' to advertise how bad global warming is. My question is: If global warming is about to destroy our planet as we know it with rising sea levels flooding islands and droughts starving millions, then why oh why did they turn the lights back on after one hour? 'Earth Hour' is a total farce, is tourism more important than stopping global warming and saving the planet from the destruction that our Prime Minister is promising?
Or just may be, the concept that a handful of humans can change the weather is just a little too far fetched. But hey, the tax will make someone richer and many more poorer.
Did you see the ABC TV show 'Australia - Time Travellers Guide' two nights ago? It told of past eras when sea levels were 200m above today's sea levels, when there were no ice caps and yet there wasn't a single human around to have caused that global warming. But I'm sure a carbon tax would have saved the day - not.
