Total Fire Ban ?

While NSW was under a total fire ban yesterday Thredbo received rain in the morning, hail at midday and snow in the afternoon.

By this morning the white cover over the village had vaporised and the dusting on the middle slopes was rapidly following.

More snowfalls are predicted over the weekend and while much of the state has been choked by a huge dust storm the grass is green and the air clean in the mountains.
