While We Wait

Below are just a few of the unusual sights seen around Thredbo this week while we wait for that first decent snow fall that will let us put the skis on.

There has been limited snow making during the past week, much because of temperature inversions.

The forecasters have been all over the place as the BOM's models shift around like a jack-in-the-box. Jane Bunn appears to have been the most consistent calling for 20-30cm and as much as 40cm by next Thursday. I'll go with that for a good start to the long weekend and official start to the Australian Ski Season.

As I type this report, the snow and rain have been temporarily interrupted by a sunny break in the clouds. It is cold outside - around +4C on my balcony.

Happy Big Birthdays over the past month to Jonno and Rachael.
