Last Turns For Yet Another Year
Rosco has made his last turns for Summer 2011.
Meanwhile I was at the Cobargo Folk Festival with Annie, Suzanne & Mary in what I call hot and humid conditions (not being used to such things :-)
It was my first time at the festival and although only there for the Saturday it was both interesting and entertaining.
My favourites were Kade Brown, a young pianist of immense talent and someone we should have at the Thredbo Jazz in the future, and then there was Dana Lyons performing his infamous "Cows With Guns" song. That song just breaks me up.
Next on the road of musical treats is the Candelo Music Festival - March 19th.

One last turn of Rosco's photos (so to speak ;-)
There were the clear days
The foggy days
The blow-offs
The discoveries
The queues
The climbs
The frosting
The groomers
And the powder
Sunset over Niseko
The Thredbo weather page has had a little hiccup and the report of 567.5mm of rain and temperature of 99.9C on Saturday was slightly overstated ;-) It would have been very hot and humid but my informants say that it was dry and cool on Saturday. Despite this glitch, the real figures show possibly one of Thredbo's wettest months ever at 412.2mm. Certainly the wettest I can recall by more than 100mm.
More good news: the Snowy River was receiving another flush yesterday from Lake Jindabyne.
Good luck to all those competing in the Mountains To The Beach mountain bike race today. It's a beautiful day for it.
PS: The House of Ullr is up for auction next Saturday afternoon.
