Summer Of Sorts
School holidaymakers have maintained a presence in the village after the Blues Festival crowd departed. The weather remains as close to perfect as I could imagine for summer. There has been a light, cooling breeze with the warm and persistent sunshine. Although the flies have finally put in appearance, they are not bad, yet.
The initial wild flower displays have begun to wither while later species bloom. There is still ample water in the high alpine areas to maintain waterfalls and the babbling brooks that eventually feed into the largest rivers in Australia.

I heard on the tele about the horrendous 40C+ temps forecast for parts of Sydney for Australia Day. Not in this lovely land where temps are forecast to be in the teens :-)
