I Love Global Warming

Here we are, only one day from the longest day of the year in the Southern Hemisphere and there is snow everywhere! It's not unusual to have snow in the Northern Hemisphere at this time of year, although many might argue that there is an unusual amount of snow in many places like Ireland and the Channel Islands.

However, snow in the middle of summer in Australia is rare. If it comes it usually comes quickly and leaves the same. It has been snowing here for 3 days now and more is forecast tomorrow.

If this is Global Warming (Climate Change) then I love it. Think I will go for a ski.

If a carbon tax will drop global temperatures a couple of degrees then bring it on! I will be able to ski all year-round in Thredbo and the extra few thousands of dollars a year that I will pay in carbon tax will be less than the cost of an overseas ski trip.

Then there is the added export business for Australian farmers because Europe won't be able to grow food any more under a constant blanket of snow. And expect a huge flood of European refugees fleeing the frozen wasteland of Europe.

Yep, it's cold here in Thredbo. The wind-chill is way below zero. Had the fire going last night and am wearing extra layers today. This is Christmas - a white Christmas - and one without flies.

Happy Birthday Karen.
