The rock hoppers come out of the closet

The first freeze is many nights left the entire resort very firm and fast yesterday morning. Eventually everything did soften up but I did get a good fast work out on the frozen stuff with my rock hopping skis. Murphy’s Law dictates that the hardness of the snow is in direct proportion to how blunt your edges are.

Last night the freeze began about 6pm but when the clouds rolled in the temperature rose and all was soft when I ventured out around 10am this morning.

The upper mountain still has a good cover. I was surprised to see how good the bottom of Sponars t-bar was. The bottom of Antons was getting thin but worth it.

A lot of snow has disappeared but the forecast is snow tonight, tomorrow and Sunday. Could certainly make for a good start to NSW public school holidays and the last week of the season.
