One Day It’s Winter And One Day It’s Not

Summer started in Thredbo with a light dusting of fresh snow above 1700m. By midday there was little to show for it but at least the temperatures were down and only this afternoon has it begun to warm again and the extra layer of clothing has been discarded.

The mountain bike season is fully underway with a number of riders seen on the mountain this afternoon.

The Kosciuszko Express is due to open this weekend making it easier to get out back onto the main range.

Quite amazing how fast the year has gone. There are less than 3 weeks before the days start getting shorter, then it's Christmas and more.

Grump: I was going to have a grump about Global Warming but there is enough action going on in the media about Malcolm Turmoil and the liberals so I won't cast a shadow on their glory.

I must admit, however, it does feel strange being an Extremist. It must be true - the government told me so ;-)
