Memorial Race Day
Before I get started, two things of importance. Firstly, tomorrow (Friday 11th) is Ski Patrol Race Day. Open to everyone and anyone. Help raise funds for your ski patrol. Help them support you by you supporting them. 9:30 -10:00am Rossi Racecourse (I think).
Secondly the photos I took yesterday will have to wait till next report - should be worth a look.
OK: perfect weather and the firmest snow on the mountain set the scene for the 2009 Memorial Race Day (20th anniversary) comprising of both the Moulos & Pegus Cups for consistent skiing - not fastest. The theme was "Carnivale - As colourful as possible".
It is the biggest turnout of costumes I have ever seen and it will be a tough job for the judges to choose the best dressed.
My apologies for not getting to post more photos. I took over 300 and after culling a lot I still couldn't fit all the good ones on one report.
Special thanks to Maureen and Kimbo, Race crew, Deidre and the girls, the sponsors and everyone else involved for organising such a wonderful event.

The weather forecasts have the big hair dryer coming this weekend. I hope to get outback on the great looking snow before it’s gone.
The vicious rumour that Banana Man has returned to Thredbo is not true. It was all an apparition and the smell of rotting bananas is driving me mad ;-)
Does anyone know the Guinness Book Of Records or the World Cup time for peeling and eating a banana whilst completing the Rossi racecourse with all equipment?
