How Do You Get Your Jollies?
Day after day, night after night, we saw the temperature drop below zero only to have extremely high levels of humidity (around 98%) leave the snow makers feeling impotent. What little snow has been on the ground has been slowly disappearing - up until last evening.
With the commencement of Queensland school holidays, the pressure has been on to keep the visitors busy. A terrain park of sorts has been built at Merritts and absolute beginners have found some fun at Friday Flat. Meanwhile there is a lot youthful innovation coming to bear in an attempt to amuse.
I haven’t had skis on my feet since the Monday before last. Curiosity got the better of me yesterday and a short stroll out behind Eagles Nest revealed that little had changed on the main range in the past week.
Finally the humidity and temperature dropped enough on Wednesday afternoon to turn on the guns but not for long.

It is still snowing lightly in the village. There looks like some nice falls coming next week, and not a moment too early.
