What The Snow Cams Don't Show

After a very busy 3 days of inter-school races, which together with glorious sunny weather resulted in large crowds on the slopes Friday through to midday Sunday, we all appreciated a much quieter day today.

The weather is still near perfect. There was a tonne of snow making last night as there has been for many nights prior. The groomers have been doing an excellent job and the snow base is holding up well in most places.

The temperature has risen higher today than it has in many days and the result is softer snow, even off piste.

There are a few runs suffering from lack of snow cover and some are closed for this reason but anywhere the snow makers can get a hose into is fine.

Still the bureau says 'fine weather' and sunburn is becoming a concern. It feels like Spring but the nights are coooold.

Thanks to the Cooma BP ski shop and the ski/board reps for a great demo day on Saturday. Had a fun day trying the latest hardware but I am disappointed that there won't be more demo days this year.
