A Beautiful Day For A Wedding
Saturday was one of those great summer days in Thredbo. Warm yet not hot and with a slight breeze help keep the flies away. And a wonderful day it was for two beautiful locals, Acacia Rose and Peter Cocker, who got married beside the Thredbo River.
A good time was had by all and the enthusiastic entourage had travelled from the four corners of the planet for Acacia’s and Peter’s special day. Family came from points as far away as London and Tokyo.
The event was also the first try out of my new camera. I am still coming to terms with the many differences to my old Sony and the new Canon -so many more options to have to deal with. Hopefully I’ll have it sorted soon.
Today the rains are back. Annie and I managed a quick walk along the Thredbo River this morning without getting too wet. The mists have now rolled in down the mountainside and although still warm it has become quite humid. The valley has greened up already and the school holiday crowds should have a very pleasant week ahead.

The Thredbo Blues Festival is on again next Friday through Sunday with many great performers playing in a host of locations.
Congratulations to Acacia and Peter. May you have a long and happy life together.
