Good Report Card

On Monday we saw a successful firing of the new automated snowmaking system. I heard the test went off without a single hitch. Official snowmaking is due to start next Monday, weather permitting.

The week has been quiet and fairly cold with drizzle falling in the village and some snow falling on the highest peaks.

Everything is pretty well set for the opening of the season in little over two weeks. Will there be snow? Well that’s a tricky one. Some forecasters have predicted snow around the middle of next week. That together with man made snow could be enough, assuming we don’t see a repeat of last year where heavy rains washed away the man made just before the long weekend.

The ground is cold and damp - just ripe for snowfall.
