A Whiter Shade of Grey

Yes, we had a dusting overnight. Temperatures have been sub zero for a while and cold southwesterly winds having been hammering up the valley.

On our artic conditioning trip today (-15C wind-chill) we saw snow as low as under mid station on the Kosi Express – which is open once more after a few weeks of regular maintenance.

Ski patrol were in town over the weekend preparing for winter and Michael Milton entertained us all with a recounting of his world record breaking run at Les Arcs this year of 210+kph.

Weather permitting snowmaking may begin early this week. The next few weeks will be interesting. Predictions about the coming season are rife but I’m not getting into that. The premonition of a 2m dump did not come with a date - month, year or century.
