On a Sunny Monday

I'd been waiting for the right day for quite sometime. Brian asked if he could come along and so on Monday morning we set off to ski the Kosciuszko South Ridge and whatever got in our way there and back ;-)

The run of the South Ridge was variable but always carvable. The best snow we encountered was the north facing slopes off the Ramsheads. As my photos will show, the west facing slopes are still in very good condition. Note to self: get back out there while that is the case.

The temp was sub zero but the forecast light wind didn't put in an appearance until we were on our way back. The climbs generated some warmth. I discarded the fleece, swapped my helmet for sun hat and goggles for sun glasses. Even so the return climb out of the Cootapatamba valley had beads of sweat running down the inside of my trousers - yuk.

I'll let the photos doing the talking.
