The Quiet Before The Storm

Since Tuesday's awesome snow conditions the weather has remained relatively sunny and the temperatures low. The wind of the past few days was non-existent today and the crowds and lift queues all very civilised.

The snow has become somewhat more compacted but the quality is dry and off piste is generally very carvable. The groomers are great and you can still ski to the bottom of the resort by any trail or tree run you wish.

I haven't taken a lot of photos this week but conditions have changed little over the past 3 days and besides it was too cold to bare my fingers taking snappies - well that's my excuse this week.

Bank holiday long weekend is on for NSW & ACT folk and with the start of high season this weekend there will no doubt be very long lift lines.

The next front is forecast for Tuesday or Wednesday. Snow making continues at a frantic pace with the cold clear nights.
