Sunshine And More Sunshine
What more can I say? The weather has been fantastic. Clear blue skies day and night, hardly a breath of breeze and comfortably cool temperatures. The moonlight shining over slopes with a full cover of snow has been quite beautiful every night. Unfortunately my camera can’t deal with low light situations otherwise I would have included photos.
The overnight temperatures have allowed for snow making each night and the condition of the snow both at the top and bottom of the resort is remarkably good. The base is firming up in places but mostly there is a light, dry layer on top and off piste is till very enjoyable.
Monday morning I got to go back to Dead Horse Gap. Unlike the previous week’s trip this time the snow was glorious. We weren’t the first but only found that out when we reached the bottom.
KT have started building a terrain park on skiers right of Sponars T-bar above the natural half-pipe. This park is the replacement of the park that was built last year between Antons and Sponars T-bars. It appears that this location will cause less interruption to snow riders than last year’s positioning.

The forecast appears to change as fast as the dates on the calendar. Currently the prognosis for the weekend is not good but I wouldn’t be at all surprised to something better come of it.
