Short Back And Sides
As winter approaches the work force on the mountain is more and more visible. There were big crowds of visitors over Easter, as per usual, and the remainder of the school holidays has kept numbers up, especially on the chairlift and bobsled.
It has been a mixed bag of weather - some rainfalls - some sun - some windy days and a general lowering of temperatures - not quite cold enough for the little white flakes - although that could change overnight.
When the last of the school holiday makers leaves on Sunday there will be just a few quiet nights before the Thredbo Jazz Festival rocks into full swing.
As I was TV channel surfing last Monday, I stopped on RockWiz as the name of the first guest was revealed. And so glad I stopped because the second guest turned the show into a Thredbo moment. Continental Robert last played here at the 2014 Thredbo Blues Festival and Ms Murphy will perform at next week's Thredbo Jazz Festival. Wow, what a fantastic voice Ms Murphy has. I'm really looking forward to hearing her live.

Friday Update:
And wouldn't you know it - the morning after a hair cut and it's freezing (Friday morning frost)
The Signs are up as Summer Drift shimmers in the ANZAC morning sun
Close up of the frozen shimmer. There was lots of ice up top after a sub zero night.

Alas, the end of the downhill mountain biking will soon be upon us. I believe that Kosi chair will close for maintenance after the Jazz Festival and reopen again at the end of May.
The bureau were forecasting snow in Tassie today (Thursday). It's getting closer :-)
