Daylight Saving Ends

I'm not telling you anything new when I say that this morning was the end of Daylight Saving for another summer in Thredbo. But was it really Daylight 'Saving' or more like Daylight 'Robbery'? How much did you 'save'? How much interest did you glean from all that 'saving'? What have you got to show for all that 'saving'?

Did you notice how much harder the end of Daylight Saving is than the start? Sure, there weren't the extra car accidents and heart attacks that Dr Karl says come with the start of Daylight Saving, and sure you got an extra hours sleep last night BUT it takes so much longer to wind the clocks back one hour than it does to wind them forward ;-)

Moving on ... I lit my fire for the first time this season. The temperature up top last night dropped to 1.3C and you can feel winter approaching in the mornings and evenings whilst the midday remains warm under the diminishing sun.

Yes, we have had a lot of rain but nothing dramatic in Thredbo. Other areas in the region received a lot more. Berridale has been inundated a couple of times and the Monaro is looking European with its green fields and flowing streams.

Despite the rains, mountain biking is still on.
