A Long Autumn
Today as the fog rolls around the valley and the temperatures are way down on what have been the norm over the past months I thought I’d better get out a quick report.
Saturday was a beautiful day. The weather since my return from Japan has been simply splendid but unseasonably dry. There is very little moisture on the main range or in fact in the valleys.
Some precipitation is forecast and will come as light relief to the vegetation and help lower the fire danger. Hard to believe that there is still a high bush fire danger in the region and total fire bans were in force only last week.

The slopes have had their final trim and groom before the winter snows

Still have Easter, Anzac weekend and Jazz weekend to go before seriously thinking about the onset of winter weather.
