Summer Swing
January went off a treat. No bush fires, little rain and mostly pleasant temperatures. The flies have been bad but ‘they’ say that is unseasonable.
Apart from the bush walks, wildflowers, mountain biking, trout fishing, eating and drinking, January has been a people activity time.
The Thredbo Players (amateur group of locals from Thredbo and Jindabyne) performed “A Comedy Of Errors” on the golf course.
There were the running races – bottom to top of Crackenback (not fun at all) and the ‘fun run’ – two laps around the village the day after.
Following last year’s last minute cancellation of the 10th Thredbo Blues Concert, this year saw the “Take 2” version of the 10th Thredbo Blues Concert. My first and certainly not my last Blues Concert.
During the Blues Concert there was also a presentation made to the Fire Brigade as a much appreciated 'thanks' from the locals for all the hard work done in saving the Thredbo from last January's bush fires.

I won’t be back in Thredbo until March (something to do about skiing in Japan) so this is my last report for about 6 weeks.
Happy Australia Day.
