Save Peter Spencer
With only days to go before Xmas, I would like to dedicate this report to Peter Spencer. “Peter who?”, you ask. Most of our senior politicians seem to have the same problem despite tens of thousands of emails to them. Google his name and read about this aged Australian farmer. I’m not going into details here but ask yourself why none of the main stream media will run this story, although I’m sure they will upon his death, which is imminent.
Meanwhile, it has been pleasantly mild in Thredbo but the flies can be found if you search hard enough. There are still a few patches (hardly called drifts) of snow beyond Thredbo. I never did get to have that last ski on Summer Drift, which now has may be 8 turns left.
Local news: The mountain biking season is well under way. The chairs are back on Snowgums chairlift. The Thredbo Players are back this summer performing (as only they can) Shakespeare’s comedy “The Merry Wives of Thredbo”.

May you all enjoy a happy and safe Christmas and may your God show more compassion for Peter Spencer than the politicians who could save him from his slow and agonising death. They did it for asylum seekers who refused to leave an Australian vessel but won't recognise the rights of an Australian citizen on his own land.
