Snowy Ride 2005

The 2005 Snowy Ride attracted more than 2,500 entrants and that’s a lot of bikes.

The weather was mostly damp but it didn’t quite snow and the rain that did fall luckily didn’t interrupt the main functions – the prize presentations and Saturday night’s outdoor Angels concert.

The main sponsor, Honda, and all the others involved did wonders to help pull off another amazing event. The Nation Parks provided the entrants with free entry to the national park, which was good to see.

In excess of $250,000 was raised for the Children’s Cancer Institute from entrant’s fees, lotteries, the Friday night dinner and auction, sales of clothing and assorted other things.

Thanks to the Angels who put on two fantastic concerts – Friday night in the Kosi Room and on Saturday night in the village square.

Read all about the event, the sponsors and all the other generous people giving their time, on their web site http://www.snowyride.com.au/
