Alpine Summer Start

As expected, summer hit Thredbo with cold temps, much rain, fierce electrical storms and strong winds but alas, although forecast, no snow.

Today we finally saw some welcome sunshine but many who ventured up the Snowgums chairlift were left with out a ride down for a good time today as strong winds closed the lift.

Santa was out in the village as were a few more flies. The wild flowers and shamrock slopes are loving all the rain. I can’t tell you how much rain we have had in the last month as the weather station has had several time-outs due to lightening strikes.

Santa is paying a visit to the Village Square on the next two weekends prior to his global duties. You don’t have to be a good girl or boy to sit on Santa’s knee.
