3 Weddings And A Conference?
Last weekend I spent a lovely time down the coast and consequently had nothing to report about Thredbo. It appeared that more Thredbo locals were down the coast or at the Dalgety food fair than in Thredbo.
We had a light dusting of snow earlier in the week and a fine weekend. Snowgums chair is now the easy access to the top but still leaves you a 10-minute steep climb to get to Eagles Nest. The mountain bikes are out in force and apart from bush walking, the other main past time in Thredbo appears to be weddings. Yesterday we had 3 weddings and a … doctors' conference (no funeral).
Next weekend is the Snowy Ride when thousands of bikers ride to Thredbo and throughout the Snowy Mountains to raise money for the Children’s Cancer Institute of Australia. My next report will probably be full of chrome and leather.
