Touring Season
Marion went out on the range last Tuesday and found very nice conditions. Her photos are below. Following my foray last Monday I decided to give some easy touring a try out on Wednesday. Dosed up again on painkillers I skinned out to Signature Hill. That alone I considered a triumph but surprisingly I skied the North Face and climbed back up for the longer run back to the bridge.
Also out there (on a somewhat grey day) was Marion again, this time with Laraine and Den. At the top of Signature Hill, Alan (retired Newsagent) toured past whilst below the hill we could see a huge group of snow-shoers being led out by K7 Adventures. If it wasn't busy enough, we had a chat with Kerry on her tellies on the way back.
I know 2 runs on the hill doesn't sound much but I was very happy to have managed that and all without pain. Alas, as the painkillers wore off in the afternoon, I knew that nothing much had changed. On Thursday morning, like last Tuesday morning, I pulled up somewhat worse off than before the ski. More painkillers and life goes on.
