From the minutes of the October 2014 Squatters Run Annual General Meeting:
General Business
7.3 Storage areas – owners are reminded that any common area storage areas are to be used only for Association items, not personal
storage areas for owners.
I don't know what prompted that statement or even who made it and I must admit I don't recall even hearing that item mentioned at the AGM,
however, I strongly suggest the body corporate council take a long hard look at themselves first.
Photo taken November 6th, 2014 (a month after the AGM), when tradesmen left the door,
to this normally locked common area void, open during their lunch break.
To the best of my knowledge only 3 owners have a key to this locked common area void, and those 3 owners are all on the body corporate council.
This is not the first time I have seen this portable air conditioner here, which is amazing, given how few times over the years that I found this door open.
I'll bet several, if not most, of the councillors know who it belongs to. Mind you, this is not the only private item that gets stored
in this void.
Don't get me wrong, I applaud Council raising this matter and hopefully they will act upon it, but it pales into insignificance when
compared to building and extending into common areas.
