Thredbo 1980's Reunion - A Teaser
The Thredbo 1980's reunion is on this weekend, in Thredbo, of all places ;-)
Here are a few images from some past magazines to refresh the memories of those attending, and for those who were too young to be in Thredbo in the 80's these magazine clippings will provide an insight as to what the 80's were about.
A time when mono skis were on the mountain and when "snurfing" first came to Australia. "Snow Surfing" began with the first snow boards, with a rope attached to the front that the rider would hang onto.
When freestyle was free style and before the Nanny State took over!

Today's Grump: - There's lies, damned lies, and then there's statistics!
You can't have missed the media all going off about the "record 39 days above 26C".
Why "above 26C"? Was it a record "above 25C" or "above 27C"? Why 26C? Because it was the only record they could dig up? How many hundreds of hours and hundreds of people did it take to find some statistics just to have "a record"? How pathetic. How can you trust people (the media) who go out of their way to try and raise fear in their fellow mankind (sorry that should be people-kind I suppose)?
Not that it matters at all. Now that the experts have declared it as "catastrophic global warming" and "runaway climate change", we'll all be dead in a couple years. So why bother Chicken Little?
