Country Music in the Country - Where Else?

Continuing with the theme of "something big every month" in Thredbo, the Snowy Mountains Country Music Festival came to town, well mostly Friday Flat ;-)

Except for a downpour last night the weather was sunny and warm to hot (in Thredbo terms).

There was free entertainment both Saturday and Sunday morning in the Village Square, a Friday night warm up in the Keller Bar and a long session at Friday Flat starting at midday on Saturday and rolling on into the wee hours of Sunday morning.

If you are wondering what I could hear from such a distance from the stage at Friday Flat, listen to this video on Youtube.

There was not the crowd of the previous CMC Country Music Festivals but that meant you could get much closer to the action, if that was your thing.

So what's on next:
2016 Australian Interschools MTB Championships, 2016 Rare Cancers Mt Kosciuszko Challenge, the Thredbo 80s Reunion, Australian Alpine Ascent Triathlon, then Easter. And that's just till the end of March.

April brings more MTB races, High Country Wine and Cheese Festival, School holidays and finally the Thredbo Jazz Festival takes us into the beginning of May, followed by a quiet period in readiness for the start of the 2016 Snow Season.
