Hiatus Hokkaido

Between the lack of fresh snow, sun affected snow and trashed mountains, both crews in Niseko and Rusutsu took a short hiatus.

Rosco decided to go for a Walking Tour and found that Hirafu station isn't anywhere near Hirafu the ski resort. All but the first of his fascinating photos below were taken during his 15km round trip. Unfortunately I can't do them full justice as the format they were in meant I had to do some cropping to make them fit the blog.

Peter's photos, taken after his brief break away, will be posted tomorrow.

I am informed that TraKtorman has arrived in Japan and hopefully will be sending some interesting, if not alternative, photos once he and management have settled in.

On the TV news this morning there was mention of huge snow storms in China and Japan possibly rivalling the east coast Snowzilla in the US of A.

Whilst in Thredbo we are having mid teen temps, a cool breeze and the sun is shining.
