The Competition Is On
Just one day since my last report and the lads have accepted the challenge with fresh photos from both Niseko and Rusutsu.
Rosco has successfully survived his third day. No mean feat considering the off piste conditions he is discovering around Niseko. Speaking of "feet", I hope you remember to give them plenty of rest, considering past foot injuries.
I loved Rosco's use of the expression "Whicky-wacky" to describe what he is skiing through on the low snow base. I've tried to maintain Rosco's captions to his photos as much as possible.
Meanwhile some 45 minutes away, Peter and Lucky Phil have been hard at it on the boards and ski-doo. (Editor's note: my spell check thinks a "ski-doo" is a "side door")
Please to enjoy:-
Warrior at Annupuri
They come tough in Japan and they need to be ... Just look at the next 3 photos
Rob-san in the shrubbery
Trouble in the bush - oh, to be so lucky ;-)
Fugiwarriors, Annupuri bowl, Homac bath goo?
Pretty well sums it up ;-)
Lucky Phil above Rusutsu
Peter, on what appears to be quite a steep slope
Taking the Ski-doo for a late afternoon spin
What goes up must come down or go round and round
All ending with a very late afternoon spectacular view over the valley
Traktorman informs me that he will be in Japan in around 3 weeks time with a very exciting itinerary.
Oh, and in case you were wondering, it's still raining in Thredbo with almost 80mm in the past 24 hours. I believe kayaking is replacing mountain biking ;-)
Thought for the day: It should be compulsory for politicians to successfully complete an IQ test before being appointed a minister. To what standard you ask? Well, at least to the standard of Captain Risky (as seen on TV ads).
Of course, some would say that it takes a wise man to play the fool. But I say; the fool can't play the wise man for long before being exposed as what he truly is.
