28th Thredbo Jazz Festival
The weather was good, not perfect but completely acceptable for another great Thredbo Jazz Festival. Visitor numbers were down but those that were in attendance had not just great performances to watch but could generally get a seat to watch them as well.
I didn't catch every act but there were a couple that I just just had to go back for seconds. Saturday
Saturday night in the Kosi Room provided an amazing contrast. First up was Ms Murphy (who delighted us last year as well). For one so young, Ms Murphy has the power of Tina Turner and the smoothness of Shirley Bassey. Second up was Katie Noonan. With a sprinkle of Kate Bush and a dash of Joni Mitchell, Katie hypnotised her audiences with songs that could have been lullabies to silence even the sirens on sea shore.
