It's a Long Weekend for Some

A busy weekend in Thredbo. Apart from the weddings and mountain biking and spectacular weather (except for a late arvo storm) it is also the Canberra Day long weekend and the Victorian Labour Day long weekend. Everyone but we New South Welshmen (and women - yes, happy intl. Women's Day :-) are having a long weekend.

Did I mention: - no flies, cool breeze, strong sunshine and the clean, clean air ?

Well, here are some fresh air photos from opposite ends of the planet.

Time and space for a little grumping - gotta keep fit ;-)

My heart goes out to the winter paralympians caught in the middle of a maniac's desire to be renamed Hitler II. There appears enough Chamberlains around to allow it.

You don't have to like them but you have to ask the questions:
1. What are the authorities trying so hard to hide in their over zealous attempts to silence the Schappelle Corby story?
2. Why do the authorities persecute Hinch (the Human Headline) so intently for attempting to save Australian children whilst the violence on our city streets seems completely out of control?
3. And, how many of our honourable politicians think more speed cameras will fix it all?

Have good week.
