Looks Like Rain
Looking out my window it appears that it might just rain. Otherwise, the weather has been extremely kind to those, like myself, who do not like hot weather.
Don't forget the Thredbo Blues Festival - January 17th to 19th. It's the 20th Anniversary! As usual there are some serious names headlining the festival including Wendy Matthews, Jeff Lang, Kevin Borich, Rick Price and one of my favourites Genevieve Chadwick who played here last year.

Were they here to check out the wild flowers?
The alpine wild flowers are out everywhere and in so many varities
Wouldn't it be interesting if the MTB jumps were left through winter?
This one is at the bottom of the Supertrail. Imagine the finish of the Top-to-Bottom races ;-)

And now, here are my first contributions to 2014 Year of the Grumpy Cat::-
On an issue that is close to home and for those of you who use the Alpine Way; you may not be aware that during recent repainting of the yellow road markings, just before Christmas, that some sections of the Alpine Way where you could previously pass legally have be converted into double lines and other legal passing sections have been somewhat shortened. I have written to my local state government member and the Minister for Roads and Maritime Services. If you are a user of the Alpine Way and are concerned that increased driver frustration caused by lack of overtaking possibilities for either for yourself or for oncoming traffic may impact upon your safe passage along the road, you too might write a short email to the appropriate members of the NSW government. As many of you are aware, tourists like to drive at speeds approaching half the legal speed limit and I don't want to see a vehicle approaching me on the wrong side of double lines because insufficient passing opportunities exist. Please note that removal of passing areas has occurred outside the national park as well as within.
Yes, the global warmists are blaming the big freeze in the USA on - you guessed it - global warming. We had better do something about climate change before we all freeze to death or (if you live in Australia) boil to death or (if you live on the coast) drown under rising seas or (if you live away from the coast) die of thirst from lack of water. But don't despair, once enough humans have died the global warming will stop. Remember, the 'experts' keep telling us that it is humans causing the climate to change by producing CO2 not the natural cycles of the sun or the natural cycles of planet earth. Just think, if we all stopped breathing out for just 5 minutes the problem would be solved. But then there wouldn't be any excuse for having taxes on human CO2 production. You don't have to turn green to save the planet just turn blue ;-)
