Summer - Short & Sweet

Many are asking what happened to summer in Thredbo. Well, it was hot and intense for a short while. February has been very mild and now, like much of Australia, we are getting a lot of rain.

The mountains feel like mountains with mist and cool temperatures. Luckily we have been spared much in the way of strong winds but the moisture is keeping everything nice and green.

The Thredbo River rose from just a trickle 2 days ago to a raging torrent overnight, well above it's normal level. With Lake Jindabyne close to 'full', there may yet be more of a flush down the Snowy River :-)
