Big Start to 2002 Snow Season

After 90mm of torrential rain on Friday and despite snow falls during Saturday, there was no snow base remaining for any skiing or boarding over the long weekend.

The strong winds and intermittent snowfalls and drizzle prevented most from partaking in outdoor activities. Consequently, everyone's attention turned to more social indoor activities - party time.

The restaurants and bars were a hive of activity. The absence of skiing or boarding meant that there was no reason to get up early and the The Keller raged till the early hours on all three nights.

Someone started a rumour that there would be lifts running for skiing and boarding on Wednesday. Let's hope so.
