Rosco & Traktor Family

Traktorman & Karen finally got to Niseko to join Rosco. The snow has been a mix of warm temp goop, cool light powder and a lot in between. Apparently the crowds suddenly increased somewhat today with Thredbo ski patrollers and Mal Brown amongst others appearing on the scene to poach those secret stashes.

The Traktor family went to Sapporo today to visit the Snow & Ice Festival (may be we will get some photos for the next report) while Rosco tried hard to find something to ski. Rosco disappointedly reports that he could ONLY find 30cms today. Things are tough ;-)

David Seargeant, Managing Director & CEO of AHL, the company that owns KT (Kosciusko Thredbo), was in town today discussing the future with retailers. I look forward to hearing more.

Although, I doubt that will help with the much-needed snowmaking on Eagle Way. I'll keep my fingers crossed - you just never know.

The highlight of the week in Thredbo was Trivia Night at Black Bear last Monday. Amazing how many people were actually in Thredbo that night. The restaurant and bar were full for a very enjoyable and entertaining evening and the $10 dinner special. No, our team (The Absent Ronnies) didn't win.
