Masters And ... Mistresses
On Saturday the annual Thredbo Masters race was held on the very firm and fast World Cup course. In a complete turn-around from previous Masters races the weather was quite pleasant.
The nicest part of Saturday, in my opinion, was away from the race course and on the fresh man made snow pumped out on Friday night. Otherwise, conditions have been generally very hard packed in the morning softening quickly on piste but very slowly off piste.

Several of the forecasts are looking quite ugly for Wednesday and after the big wet more snow and then possibly more wet. I'm of a mixed mind as the Adelaide forecast indicates snow not rain but the charts look terrible.
But if you think Winter is over - just look at what is happening in New Zealand. It's being called a "once in a lifetime" event as snow continues to fall across both islands.
My final say on the weather is Happy Birthday Kerry - for yesterday. Traditionally it snows within 2 days of Kerry's birthday so something good must happen tomorrow. Unless of course Kerry & John are skiing in New Zealand?
Watch out tomorrow for photos of today's Rip Curl Australian Freeride Pro events.
